Abstract

This article tackles a rarely-described problem in Spanish syntax, which is the transition from final status towards linking or copulative of the syntagm “para” + infinitive + time expression. Examples are based primarily on CORDE (Diachronic Spanish Corpus) and CREA (Present-day Spanish Reference Corpus).
