Lexicographic treatment of Anglicisms in the Diccionario de colombianismos - 2018

Abstract

Anglicisms in Spanish have been analized from different points of view: adaptation to Spanish spelling and pronunciation, their presence in the press, the question of necessity, classification, the predominant semantic fields, etc. However, studies about the anglicisms in Spanish American lexicographical works are scarce. The present work makes a complete emptying of anglicisms in the Diccionario de colombianismos (2018) in order to find out the quantity, type (adapted or not) and their treatment in said work. The list obtained will facilitate the comparison with differential dictionaries from other countries and its detailed analysis will also allow us to know new aspects of Colombian Spanish.
